The Rhona Reid Charitable Trust has been supporting individuals and organisations since 1995 and has provided assistance, both directly and indirectly, to several thousand beneficiaries. The Trust is invested and managed by its Trustees with the aim of allowing the Trust to continue indefinitely. The Trust was set up by Dr Rhona Reid, a University of Glasgow educated ophthalmic surgeon, who had a life-long passion for science, music and other arts and was devoted to the cause of helping others. In conjunction with the administrators, Rathbones, the Trustees play an active role in selecting applications which are aligned to Dr Reid’s interests.
The trust no longer considers unsolicited applications from individuals though we occasionally accept applications from institutions. To conserve resources in order to support as many people as possible, we may be unable to provide a response to an application.
